Each time you place an order on Amazon an invoice for that order is created. Amazon makes it very easy to view your order history and save and print your invoices.

Here are a few reasons you may want to save your invoices

  • To keep a digital record of your online orders.
  • To track your expenses, if you do not currently have a budget setup consider doing so. Having a budget helps you track all of your spending so you can easily see and dictate where your money is going.
  • If you operate a home business you may want to save your receipts for tax purposes or so you can bill your clients for services.
  • If you are employed at a company and receive repayments for items you purchase for work you can print an invoice to turn into your employer for reimbursement.
  • For warranty purposes, if you have a warranty on an item you will need a copy of the invoice if you need to file a claim.
  • You will need proof of your order for returns, refunds or exchanges.

When you receive a package from Amazon they do not include an invoice for your purchase. Often, they include a shipping label but that is not the same as an invoice. And it may not include all of the information you will find on your invoice such as order date, payment method, price and tax amounts and other details you may want to have on record.
